Instructions for Changing DNS

To change your DNS settings, follow the steps below depending on your device or operating system:

For Windows:

1. Open Network Settings:

   • Right-click on the Start menu and select Network Connections or open Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.

2. Select Network Adapter:

   • Right-click on your active network connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and choose Properties.

3. Access DNS Settings:

   • In the properties window, click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click Properties.

4. Change DNS Servers:

   • Select Use the following DNS server addresses.

   • Enter the desired DNS server addresses:

     • For Google DNS:

       • Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8

       • Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4

     • For Cloudflare DNS:

       • Preferred DNS: 1.1.1.1

       • Alternate DNS: 1.0.0.1

     • For OpenDNS:

       • Preferred DNS: 208.67.222.222

       • Alternate DNS: 208.67.220.220

5. Save Changes:

   • Click OK to save the settings, then restart your browser or device for the changes to take effect.

For macOS:

1. Open System Preferences:

   • Click on the Apple Menu and select System Preferences.

2. Network Settings:

   • Click on Network and choose your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).

3. DNS Configuration:

   • Click on the Advanced button, then go to the DNS tab.

4. Add DNS Servers:

   • Click the + button and enter the desired DNS addresses (e.g., 8.8.8.8 for Google DNS, 1.1.1.1 for Cloudflare, or 208.67.222.222 for OpenDNS).

5. Save Changes:

   • Click OK, then click Apply to save the changes.

1. Open Wi-Fi Settings:

   • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap on the network you’re connected to.

2. Modify Network:

   • Tap on Advanced and select IP settings.

   • Change from DHCP to Static.

3. Enter DNS Addresses:

   • Enter the desired DNS server addresses in the DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields.

4. Save Changes:

   • Tap Save or OK to apply the new DNS settings.

For iOS:

1. Open Wi-Fi Settings:

   • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap on the network you're connected to.

2. Configure DNS:

   • Tap Configure DNS and select Manual.

3. Add DNS Servers:

   • Tap Add Server and enter the desired DNS addresses (e.g., 8.8.8.8 for Google DNS, 1.1.1.1 for Cloudflare, or 208.67.222.222 for OpenDNS).

4. Save Changes:

   • Tap Save to apply the new DNS settings.
